I really wanted the trans message next to it in a circle because to center people is to put them in the middle.

I wanted the fist to not have a white portion in it to really focus on people of color being the center. Like the Blackout Tuesday squares, the “Queer Pride” graphic is more show than substance. Don’t we hate it when an obstinate straight white man has to be told “Imagine that was your son…” in order to consider the humanity of a gay guy? The time is now for white queers to reach beyond empathy and donate time, money, and work for reform and justice. Perfectly said by ・・・ #BlackLivesMatter While it is true that black and trans people are the reason Stonewall is our most important and historic flashpoint as queer people, it bothers me that we (white gay people) have to be reminded of Stonewall to grasp the confrontational protest in the wake of George Floyd’s murder.
